Therapy

The effectiveness of our therapies is supported by international scientific research.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

This structured and systematic therapy has been applied with great success to a wide range of psychological problems. The emphasis is upon identifying and changing situations, behaviours and cognitive (thought) patterns that contribute to emotional distress. This approach teaches the skills necessary for the quick and efficient relief of psychological suffering.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

This approach is appropriate when problematic relationship patterns are the main contributors to distress. Such patterns are identified, described and carefully analysed. Specific strategies for change are discussed and implemented.

Marital / Family Therapy

Psychological problems may arise from certain interactions within relationships or families. Sometimes it is helpful to include the partner or family members in the therapeutic process.

The above represent the most modern, evidence-based approaches to therapy.

Throughout therapy, we conduct regular reviews with the client to ensure continuing progress toward their goals.
